Well known journalist and photographer, Stuart Philpott, will be running a series of underwater photography workshops at Taba Heights Resort from January 2010. This will be in partnership with Longwood Holidays and Waterworld Diving and Watersports Centre.
Taba’s coastal waters provide a perfect setting for Stuart’s courses. There are virtually no currents, clear waters, shallow sites (between 5m – 20m) and of course, plenty of guaranteed sunshine. Waterworld are a ‘photography friendly’ dive centre offering special prep areas and freshwater dunk tanks on all their boats. There is also a new house reef specifically designed for photographic training.

The exciting itinerary covers all aspects of underwater photography from camera maintenance to post-editing and includes boat and shore diving as well as macro, wide angle, using models and marketing your very own images. There will also be a mini photo competition and a beachside barbecue to round off the week.
Stuart’s workshops are designed for beginners and intermediates with either compacts or housed DSLR’s. Stuart wants to keep the courses small and personal allowing plenty of time for self-critique and improvement. Non-diving partners and families are also welcome to join in. The Resort itself offers top class accommodation with shops, restaurants and an 18-hole PGA Golf course.
